Hi! My name's Michelle Brigandage and due to being very lucky i.e I was the right age and in the right place - London - I was privileged to see the Sex Pistols, The Clash and all the great punk bands from 1976 onwards. I'm in the leopard jacket with Siouxie taken outside the 100 Club - waiting for the Punk Festival to start. Here are some of the photos I took myself of the gig with my trusty 110 camera.

This life changing experience turned my career plans around and I went to art school to do fashion. In the end I left because I wanted to be Vivienne Westwood and I couldn't be so I decided to form a band... and Brigandage was born...

My involvement with the anarchist punk scene has been a continual theme in my work - to combine Sex, Fun and Revolution and to make fairly priced quality clothes... Everything is dyed and hand-printed and sometimes sewn in my studio.

I had a stall in Camden from 1984 til 1986 which was a meeting place for friends, fans and musicians. I've now returned to making Punk Rock clothes and all has come full circle again thanks to the wonder of internet and social media... Don't forget to join us on Facebook.
